America, We Love You Galleries

America, We Love You : These pictures all express my admiration for America. They come from all over. I do not take credit for the many great pictures here which I did NOT take. I wish to give credit to the people who did take or create these images.

Look! YOU may be in this album, IF you love America too!

Iwo Jima 60th Anniversary Parade, Fredericksburg, Texas, Feb 2005 : Matha and I went to Fredericksburg for the Iwo Jima 60th anniversary parade on Feb 19, 2005. It was a miserable weather day...cold, rainy, foggy. But the weather seemed to fit the solemnity of the occasion. I hope these pictures display favorably the brave, courageous, unselfish fighting men who paraded here in honor of their country. I SALUTE THEM, EVERY ONE!

4th of July in Texas : 4th of July parades are great exhibitions and expressions of why Americans love America! This album typifies small-town America's genius and showmanship in putting on such a parade. This parade was held on July 4th, 2006, in Wimberley, Texas, in the Texas hill country. I am not putting captions on these pics, unlike my usual style. Each pic carries its own message, so let yourself imagine a suitable caption. AMERICA, WE LOVE YOU!

Luckenbach, over the years : I have been riding my motorcycle "to Luckenbach" for many years. This album contains some of my easy-to-find pictures taken there. Most of these rides were on summer Sunday afternoons, when Luckenbach's impromptu music gathering of strummers, pickers, and singers spontaneously appear for some laid-back good times. As I run across other Luckenbach pictures in my archives, I will add them to this collection. So come back often to view them.
